LUNZ Hub Big Tent Event

  • 19.09.2024, 09:30 - 16:00
  • Edinburgh, UK
  • Access by application

In September the LUNZ Hub will hold its first ‘Big Tent’ event. This is a day designed to foster creative discussion and learning about individual and organisational views concerning the value, prospects and challenges of changing land use to achieve Net Zero and meet the needs of people and nature.

Effecting change in land use requires recognising and engaging with a complexity of relationships and perspectives, which is why the LUNZ Hub is convening ‘Big Tent Events’ around the UK to develop inclusive dialogues about land use transitions for Net Zero and their relations with the diverse needs of people and nature.

The meeting on the 19th of September in Edinburgh represents the first of these LUNZ ‘Big Tent’ events, and it is looking to foster knowledge exchange between policymakers, farmers and other land users, advisory practitioners, businesses, community groups, environmental organisations and researchers with interests in land use change and the economic, social and environmental challenges and opportunities presented by Net Zero transitions within the UK. Discussions and activities will be structured into three themes: listening to people’s views on land use and NetZero; implementing change; and knowledge exchange with policymakers.
