Simon Moakes is a Research Fellow at Aberystwyth University, with a research focus on the sustainability of farm systems, assessed using a variety of methods including, carbon footprinting, lifecycle analysis, nutrient dynamics, economics and wider holistic methods. Working in multiple European and nationally funded projects, his team are developing more sustainable farm systems that will help meet the multiple objectives of achieving Net Zero, reducing nitrogen losses and improving biodiversity, whilst maintaining high productivity
