Professor David Miller

James Hutton Institute

David is the Institute Knowledge Exchange Coordinator with responsibility for coordinating engagement with policy and public audiences. He leads the Institute Secretariat for the Scottish Government Strategic Research Programme (2022-27) and its Function on Support to Policy (total c.£15m/year). His research background includes rural and urban land use and landscape change, public attitudes and community empowerment, amongst which he works on Science-Society-Policy interfaces in Scotland and the European Union.
