Professor Bridget Emmett

Bridget Emmett is Head of Soils and Land Use at the UK Centre for Ecology and Hydrology. She manages large inter-disciplinary, multi-partner projects in the areas of national monitoring, agri-environment assessment and the commissioning and delivery of rapid reviews for both Welsh Government and Defra. She was Specialist Advisor to the government inquiry into soil health in 2016; served on the EU Mission Board for Soil Health; was awarded the Marsh award for her climate change research in 2016 by the British Ecological Society and is their President Elect ; and was recently awarded an OBE for her services to soil and ecosystem services.
