Dr Laurence Smith is Co-Lead and Co-Investigator on the LUNZ project, providing strategic oversight across work packages and co-leading the sustainability assessment and modelling activities. His role focuses on evaluating system-level trade-offs and pathways to net zero through life cycle assessment, scenario modelling, and carbon opportunity cost analyses. Laurence brings over a decade of expertise in sustainability metrics and transition pathways for livestock and land-use systems, including leadership of major European projects such as PATHWAYS
