John Holland

Scotland's Rural College (SRUC)

John is an upland ecologist based at the SRUC Hill and Mountain Research Centre in highland Perthshire, where he has carried out biodiversity and environmental research and knowledge exchange for over 30 years. His current research interests focus on biodiversity and ecosystem services in the uplands, grassland biodiversity and management, and the use of technology in environmental, biodiversity and livestock monitoring. John was a trustee of the UK Farm Woodland Forum for more than 10 years, and he is an active member of the Mountain Woodland Action Group.
