Scotland's Rural College (SRUC)

Dr Nicola Lambe has nearly 30 years’ experience working on sheep research projects, investigating improvements in product quality, production and reproductive traits, in different sheep systems and breeds. She is based at SRUC’s Hill and Mountain Research Centre and manages the SRUC GreenSheep facilities, including CT scanner, portable accumulation chambers, and feed intake recording equipment. These facilities quantify a variety of new sustainability traits for use in research and commercial sheep breeding. Her recent projects have focused on measurement of, and genetic selection for, traits including methane emissions and feed efficiency.
