Joelene is a Principal Conservation Scientist at the RSPB. Joining RSPB in 2016 after several years at the University of Oxford, Joelene leads the social science research team in RSPB’s Centre for Conservation Science. She is involved in a range of projects on biodiversity conservation issues, from recreational disturbance to nature connection and pro-conservation behaviour, where social science research is integral to informing progress.
