Sophie Tudge

Research Fellow

University of Leeds

Sophie is a Research Fellow in the Sustainability Research Institute at the University of Leeds. Her research explores the connections between land use and biodiversity, aiming to find effective land-use strategies that enable production and conservation and facilitate the transition to net zero. Her PhD at the University of Surrey focused on biodiversity trends on different spatial, temporal and ecological scales. After her PhD, she worked as a Research Fellow at the University of Surrey investigating the effects of biomass demand on biodiversity in Europe. In the JUSTLANZ project, she is working on harmonising land-use scenario models with farming community visions and examining their environmental and social impacts.
