Invitation to Unlocking Finance for Farm and Landscape Recovery in Wales. Tuesday 9 June at Hope Church, Newtown, 09:30-16:30

We would like to invite you to an upcoming event hosted by the Land Use for Net Zero, Nature and People Hub (LUNZ), in partnership with a number of other organisations, called ‘Unlocking Finance for Farm and Landscape Recovery in Wales’, that will be held on Tuesday 9th June 2026 at Hope Church in Newtown, SY16 1JD.

This event will convene key partners across Welsh land use and water management, their supply chains, finance, and policy to explore how new finance opportunities can support an impactful and just landscape and sea recovery / transition in Wales.

The workshop will:

  • Set the scene for finance in Wales for farm and landscape recovery
  • Improve understanding of how Welsh farms, landowners, and communities can access and benefit from emerging private finance opportunities
  • Identify practical steps to ensure green finance and large-scale landscape recovery can work within the often patchwork land ownership setting of Wales
  • Network with established and emerging partnerships to learn and engage
  • Strengthen cross-sector collaboration between government, industry, investors, and on-the-ground delivery partners

Sessions during the day will include The Ambition of Financing Landscape Recovery in Wales, Building fair markets and fundable partnerships and Opportunities and approaches to fundable projects – including speakers from the finance markets, landscape partnerships, farming and Welsh Government.

There will also be an opportunity for projects, partnerships and organisations looking for nature-based finance to have a space to showcase  their project as part of the Network Café session.   • Rhwydweithio gyda phartneriaethau sefydledig a rhai sy’n datblygu er mwyn dysgu ac ymgysylltu
  • Cryfhau cydweithio traws-sector rhwng y llywodraeth, diwydiant, buddsoddwyr a phartneriaid cyflawni ar lawr gwlad

Bydd sesiynau yn ystod y dydd yn cynnwys: Uchelgais Ariannu Adfer Tirweddau yng Nghymru; Adeiladu marchnadoedd teg a phartneriaethau y gellir eu hariannu; a Chyfleoedd a dulliau ar gyfer prosiectau y gellir eu hariannu – gan gynnwys siaradwyr o’r marchnadoedd cyllid, partneriaethau tirwedd, ffermio a Llywodraeth Cymru.

Bydd hefyd gyfle i brosiectau, partneriaethau a sefydliadau sy’n chwilio am gyllid sy’n seiliedig ar natur gael lle i arddangos eu prosiect fel rhan o sesiwn y Network Café.
