Eleri works at Hybu Cig Cymru – Meat Promotion Wales as Industry Efficiency and Sustainability Executive.

Dr. Eleri Thomas is an experienced project manager and has worked at Hybu Cig Cymru for 8 years. Her expertise lies in managing multiple projects and engaging with numerous stakeholders that strengthen food productivity. Dr. Eleri Thomas holds a PhD in sheep genetics and meat quality. Her passion is working across the breadth of the red meat sector, driving effective transformation and sustainable food system development for the Welsh red meat supply chain. She works closely with colleagues to progress new research and development initiatives including those with multi partner collaborations.

LUNZ Grassland Project offers an exciting way to engage with Welsh sheep and beef cluster farms to identify and model potential ways to achieve Net Zero. The project is a great example of industry, academic and policy collaboration. We look forward to being a part of evidence driven research that will demonstrate key on-the ground findings.
